DWRC Vision:
Build a Palestinian society where peace, democracy, human rights, fundamental liberties and social justice reign supreme among its political, social and cultural principles
DWRC Mission:
DWRC mission is to defend workers’ rights, enhance their benefits, raise their awareness of their rights and the mechanisms to defend them, organize them in trade unions on a democratic basis, develop the trade union leaders’ knowledge and skills, enhance participative learning, reinforce their role in influencing policies, publish studies and researches and strengthen solidarity and networking relations with similar organizations.
Goals and objectives:
Goal 1:
Protection of human rights and fundamental liberties
Reinforcing freedom of association the right to organize
Protecting workers’ rights and benefits from violations and developing related legislation
Democratizing the trade union movement and reinforcing its representative and bargaining power
Empowering working women to reach the leadership bodies of trade unions
Goal 2:
Strengthening the organizational and programmatic capacity of DWRC
Strengthening the knowledge and skills of DWRC staff
Developing training and educational materials in order to build a comprehensive educational curriculum for workers’ leaders
Reinforcing networking with Arab and international organizations to secure financial and political support and exchange of experiences
